Duck ,duck,goose....
I was wondering why all the grocery stores had geese and duck for sale, up the ying yang. It was hard to find any meat besides the unidentifiable pork and a plethora of duck.
Apparently it is a Danish holiday ,when everyone eats duck and/ or geese.
My husband sent me this explanation of the holiday (which has obviously been translated from Danish to English) sooo, here's the story .....

Oh how I love moving......
Obviously, I am back in Denmark. I'm going to finish my catching up ,with the speedy version so I can move forward ,blogging about current life .
I was in Chicago for the birth of my very first grandbaby ,a huge little girl named Hayden.
Not only was she beautiful ,she was the most alert newborn baby I have ever seen.
After spending a week with her and the new parents, I went back to Arkansas where I had the joy of packing and cleaning for the next 6 weeks. I was getting our condo ready to rent out.
I barely finished my 10 page list of work when it was time to head back to Chicago for my flight to Denmark.
I spent 6 days at my son and daughter in laws . Babies sure change alot in 6 weeks!
Hayden ,smiling even though she’s going bald Isn’t she the cutest!
I wish I lived right next door to her.
My flight to Copenhagen was thankfully, uneventful.I even had 2 seats all to myself. That's as good as it gets.
I got here just in time to move into our new Denmark house. (more unpacking and moving) YAY!
So there you have the last of my catch up.
Here is our new house ....I think it has potential to be really cute (some day)

Our bedroom …so far. They have this huge ugly white board built onto the wall.
The dining room …so far . note the giant table leaning against the wall , waiting for someone with drill skilz to put it together.
The kitchen …so far. Note hubbys mess all over the counter.

We also have an office/closet room and 2 more bedrooms upstairs. One will be a guest room (so who’s gonna come visit us???)
The other is hubbys overflow closet room, where the suits go.
So…THIS is what I have been doing since I got here. Unpacking. Yesterday I had to force myself to take a day off, which was no easy task because all I could think about was all the stuff that needed to be done.
I'll be back soon with new adventures to report.
later Peeps!

Is THIS my Chariot? Seriously?
I was scheduled to go to Chicago on my grand baby's due date . Sept.7th. As the date grew closer I was more and more of an anxious, excited wreck. On the night of the 5th,around midnight,I couldn't take it any more . I changed my ticket to the next morning.
I arrive at O'Hare , expecting to be picked up in the little red Celica. Imagine my surprise when my son pulls up in his huge white work van. (it is a cargo van with only 2 front seats),
Apparently, all the cars had just broken down except the van. They had time to pick me up and then we stopped at Beths moms for a couple of hours for a Bar-b q on the way to the hospital .(this was Labor day) Literally.
To be continued........ (I must get ready for the tile man)
